Ready to go!

Tomorrow is a go!

Years of dreaming, months of planning, weeks of training, hours of panicking and I am ready to get on the trail.

Today Danielle and I hiked down to the Amicalola Falls trailhead and I registered for my NOBO hike. We met a crazy/cool guy (very stoned), hiked back to the top of the falls and then caught a couple of beers and lunch in Blue Ridge, GA.

Tonight is a cheese and salad sandwich and a bottle of wine.

Tomorrow will be breakfast at the lodge and then Danielle will slack-pack me to Springer Mountain trailhead. (In other words, she’s bringing my pack by car while I walk the trail from the lodge to the trailhead.) Then I am on the AT and headed for Maine.
